Also referred to as a regatta timer, yachting chronograph, or sailing watch, the Mackinac features a yacht timer for the countdown at the start of a sailing race. When horns signal the start of the countdown, a skipper starts the yacht timer and, using the five minute increments, can sail across the starting line at speed just as the starting gun sounds.The Shinola Mackinac features a unique 40mm square stainless steel case with an exhibition case back window that reveals the automatic SW511.bhc movement inside. The canary yellow dial pops with orange and red details and contrasts with the three-tone blue yacht timer sub. With a ridged rubber strap and a 10 ATM rating, it’s the perfect naval companion for sport or leisure—whatever floats your boat.
